AMEA grieves the loss of Anthony Deloya, who passed away on Aug. 20, 2026. During this time, your AMEA Executive Board wants every member to know how they can support the Deloya family.

Our 2026 Board of Directors election is complete, and we are proud to introduce the new board members who will guide AMEA in the year ahead.

Thank you to all who attended our April Board of Directors meeting. Updates include your newly elected AMEA Board of Directors, upcoming Hot Dogger events, and the AMEA Annual Meeting.

Applications are being accepted now, through June 24, 2026, for the 2026 AMEA Scholarship! Recognizing the value and importance of higher education, AMEA’s Board of Directors is offering two (2) $1,000 scholarships to an AMEA member or for the child or stepchild of an AMEA member.

At the March 2026 Board meeting, AMEA discussed ongoing challenges with the City regarding the classification and compensation study, including efforts to obtain the full report before implementation moves forward. The Board also shared leadership updates and highlighted member participation in recent community events like The Big Give.

The Thursday, March 26, 2026, AMEA General Membership Meeting will be held in person and via Zoom beginning at 5:30 P.M.
