Your OCEA team met with the County on Monday, June 1, 2026, to keep pushing for answers on the temporary suspension of the DNA/Collections Unit and what it means for affected staff. To ensure fairness and clarity, we are pursuing a Letter of Understanding with the County.

We’ve recently learned that the DA’s Office will be suspending the GRIP and DNA/Collections Units to comply with budget cuts directed by the County CEO’s Office. Our number one priority is making sure no one gets laid off. We are actively working to get answers, though we do not have full details yet.

Your OCEA Labor Management Committee (LMC) team recently met with department management for another productive session. We discussed staffing needs, upcoming budget challenges, and several issues that were brought forward by members.
