Thank you to everyone who participated in the vote. Members overwhelmingly approved moving forward with the City’s proposal to transition from employee-laundered City-issued uniforms to a City-provided laundry service. 

The City has approached FMEF with a proposal to implement a City-provided uniform laundering service. Before determining whether to pursue an agreement with the City, FMEF wants to hear directly from the members who would be impacted. Thank you to everyone who cast a vote. The membership rejected the City’s proposed Side Letter of Agreement. This means the current MOU remains in effect, and the City is still obligated to provide the 3% salary increase scheduled for July 2026.
