We are preparing to negotiate your next contract with the City, and the first step is hearing directly from you. Your OCEA Negotiations Team uses your responses to set our priorities at the table. Completing the survey is the most effective way to make sure your voice is heard during negotiations.
The 2026 Negotiations Survey is now open until 5:30pm, September 25. Your OCEA Negotiations Team uses your responses to set our priorities at the table and identify the issues that matter most to you and your co-workers. Completing the survey is the most effective way to make sure your voice is heard during negotiations.
Success in next year’s negotiations will depend on how well we all prepare now. Join us from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the Crown Valley Community Center Ballroom, where we’ll cover what’s happening in the City and some of the ways we’re preparing to go back to the table.
This is your reminder to complete the Laguna Niguel Workload Survey! The survey asks you to compare your workload today to what it looked like a year ago. If your workload has not increased, we still want your response. Please complete the survey by 5 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2026.
You’ll soon see a 3% increase effective the first pay period including July 1, 2026. This is the final raise in the four-year agreement negotiated in 2023.
Congratulations to John Chavez, City of Laguna Niguel 2025 Employee of the Year! John, who works in Facilities Maintenance at Crown Valley Community Center, was selected by his peers for this honor.
