Your negotiations team met to review and discuss the City’s latest offer for a successor agreement to our current contract, which expires June 30, 2026. Our main concern is securing a deal that ensures parity with the other groups that are also negotiating with the City. Once we have a tentative agreement, we will convene the membership for a ratification vote.

Dr. King lost his life in Memphis while standing with striking sanitation workers fighting for union recognition and fair wages—a reminder that the labor movement and civil rights movement have always been connected. National holidays are not guaranteed for local government workers. Every workplace that honors this day does so because workers fought for it.
