FMEF Members,
Attached is the City’s proposed Side Letter of Agreement for your review. The proposal includes changes to the current MOU, including a one-year extension of the contract term, a one-year deferral of the 3% salary increase scheduled for July 2026, and adjustments to the timelines for EPMC and employee cost-sharing contributions. The proposal also includes 60 hours of discretionary personal leave, parity language, and a commitment of no layoffs or furloughs through June 30, 2027.
We will be holding a membership meeting on Thursday, June 25, at 5:30 p.m. in the Yard Assembly Room to review the proposal, discuss the details, answer questions, and hold a membership vote on whether to accept or reject the City’s proposal.
Please review the attached proposed Side Letter prior to the meeting and make every effort to attend. Your participation and vote are important as we determine how to move forward.
Please note that no decisions or agreements have been made at this time. Any decision on this proposal will be made by the membership.
We look forward to seeing you Thursday.
In solidarity,
Kerensa Schupmann
Senior Labor Relations Representative
