Market Adjustments Recommended for CSOs

Dear OCEA member,

We are pleased to announce the recent findings of a market study for workers in CSO and Senior CSO positions. The following adjustments have been recommended and will be on the agenda for Board of Supervisors approval at the Sept. 24, 2024, Board of Supervisors meeting:

Sheriff’s Community Services Officer / Max Hourly: $31.49 to $36.19, a 14.93% increase*

Sheriff’s Senior Community Services Officer / Max Hourly: $35.15 to $40.33, a 14.74% increase*

*Reflects increase from top of the range (Step 12) | Click Here for more details on the class & comp study on pages 21-23

OCEA fights day in and day out for better job conditions and higher wages for OCEA members. These market changes reflect two years of aggressive advocacy by CSO stewards and OCEA staff. We want to thank you for the critical work you perform to keep our community safe, and to those whose input helped make these market adjustments a reality.

If approved by the Board Sept. 24, these increases will go into effect on the first day of the pay period following adoption—Oct. 4.

Please contact OCEA Senior Labor Relations Representative Kerensa Schupmann at 714-564-3257 if you have any questions.

In Solidarity,

OCEA
