Dear OCEA member,
Since the beginning of the year, many of you signed the petition demanding immediate change and have been in contact with your OCEA stewards and OCEA Labor Representatives about serious concerns in OCAC. OCEA has been and will continue to escalate your concerns to Central HR, OCCR HR and the OCAC director, including specific concerns about Field Services Manager Daniel Ettinger.
If you have specific complaints regarding field services manager Daniel Ettinger that you would like us to escalate formally, please reach out ASAP.
OCAC Manager Jamie Link has also been hosting office hours for employees who want to raise concerns directly with the department. If you feel comfortable going that route, we encourage you to take advantage of that option as well.
In addition, OCEA has requested to begin meeting with OCAC to discuss other concerns affecting employees such as staffing, morale, and workload concerns. If you have specific incidents, examples, or concerns that you would like us to raise, please send them or give us a call.
We want to close with this: thank you. Every message you’ve sent, every concern you’ve shared matters. Change happens because people speak up, and you have. The County has a process, and these things take time, but your concerns are being taken seriously. We are watching closely from our end and will keep you informed.
In Solidarity,
OCEA
