PCEA Members Approve Tentative Agreement — Our Fight Continues

Dear PCEA Member,

Thank you to all PCEA members who joined us at Thursday’s membership meeting to vote on the tentative agreement resulting from mediation.

PCEA members voted to approve the agreement, which provides a 2.75% wage increase over a one-year term, retroactive to January 1, 2026. This is a meaningful step forward, reflecting the results we could secure under the current circumstances.

While this agreement puts money in members’ pockets now, it does not end our fight. Other City employee groups received larger increases over a two-year period, and because our agreement covers only one year, we will return to the bargaining table in February to continue pushing for similar gains over the full timeline.

Together, we’ve moved the needle—and now we keep pushing for more. The City Council knows PCEA members are informed, active, and paying attention. By staying engaged and participating in our upcoming survey, you help ensure your priorities shape our strategy and strengthen our position at the table.

Our 2026 PCEA Negotiations Survey is live now. Check your home email for a link to the survey. Please take a few minutes to complete it—your feedback directly informs our next steps and ensures your voice is heard.

In solidarity,

PCEA
