OC Register: Triple-digit temps will hit Southern California after Fourth of July

Independence Day will have highs along the beaches generally in the 70s; in the 80s for Orange and Los Angeles county valleys. Then highs above 100 are forecast for most of Southern California, except for near the ocean, just as the weekend begins, forecasters said.

 

OC Register: LAX expects record July 4th travel season

Los Angeles International Airport officials are forecasting a record-breaking July 4 travel period for the facility, with 2.86 million passengers expected over an 11-day period ending next Monday, when 272,358 passengers and 113,779 vehicles are likely to pass through the facility.

MSNBC: Retaliatory tariffs begin with levies of 10 or 25% on US Products

Canada released the final list of items that will be targeted beginning this week. Some products will be subject to taxes of 10 or 25 percent. The taxes on items including ketchup, lawn mowers and motor boats amount to $12.6 billion.
