OC Register: More Orange County voters returning mail ballots early than in 2016, though gap is narrowing

Ballots were mailed out Oct. 5. Early on, 2020 returns were running an eyebrow-raising 490% percent ahead of 2016 numbers – the fervor has slowed down and the difference has narrowed considerably in recent days – closer to 25 percent – and could even disappear this week, OC Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley said on Monday, Oct. 19.
