APPLY TODAY: 2023 AMEA Scholarships

Dear AMEA member,

The 2023 AMEA Board of Directors Scholarship will be awarded this June. AMEA’s Board of Directors will award two (2) $1,000 scholarships, one for an AMEA member and one for a student whose parent, stepparent, legal guardian, or financially responsible grandparent is an AMEA member.

Applications can be downloaded by clicking here and must be delivered to the AMEA office or postmarked by June 28, 2023.

To be eligible an applicant must be: (1) an AMEA member, or (2) a student whose parent or stepparent, legal guardian, or financially responsible grandparent is an AMEA member.

To qualify, students must also be enrolled—or intending to enroll—in an accredited community college, college or university, or an accredited trade, vocational/technical school for the Fall 2023 quarter or semester.

A selection committee will review each student’s high school transcripts, current GPA, and personal recommendations. Each applicant must also submit a 500-word essay describing how they would use their college education to improve the lives of working families. The essay will be the greatest determining factor in selecting scholarship winners.
