APPLY NOW for Two $1,000 AMEA Scholarships!

Dear AMEA member,

We know paying for a college education isn’t easy! That’s why the AMEA Board of Directors awards scholarships each year for dependents of AMEA members.

The Board offers two $1,000 college scholarships to be awarded in July. Applications can be downloaded here and are due by 5 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024. You can also scan and email the completed application and supporting materials to admin@anaheimamea.com.

Eligibility requirements:

• Applicant is an AMEA member; or
• Applicant is a child or stepchild of an AMEA member; or
• Applicant’s legal guardian is an AMEA member; or
• Applicant’s financially responsible grandparent is an AMEA member.

To qualify, students must also be enrolled, or intending to enroll, in an accredited community college, college or university, or an accredited trade, vocational/technical school for the Fall 2024 quarter or semester.

A selection committee will review each student’s high school transcripts, current GPA of 2.5 or higher, and two personal recommendation letters. Each applicant must also submit a 500-word essay describing how they will use their educational experience to further their career goals. The essay will be the greatest determining factor in selecting scholarship winners.

The AMEA Board of Directors is committed to supporting the next generation and these annual scholarships reflect that commitment.
