Attention! New free benefits for OCEA members: Open Enrollment
Dear OCEA member,
Your 2018 open enrollment packets for supplemental benefits are in the mail, and the OCEA Health & Welfare Trust is adding new benefits for you and your family offered at no costexclusively to OCEA members.
The open enrollment period runs from Sept. 1-30, 2017 and we hope you will take advantage of these new benefits and enhancements. Please review your Supplemental Benefits packet carefully.Action by you is required to receive these new benefits:
- All OCEA members can receive a FREE $5,000 life insurance benefit;
- Levels One and Two Disability Insurance plan members can now receive payments for two additional years in the event of illness or injury;
- Level Two plan members will have more of their earnings covered with the maximum monthly benefit increasing to $5,000 from $2,160;
- Coverage becomes effective Jan. 1, 2018 along with any supplemental changes you make to your existing coverage.
Your Supplemental Benefits packet contains the information you need to put these new, no cost benefits to work for you and your family. The new protections are just some of the many benefits available to OCEA members!
Please look for your open enrollment packet to enroll in these new free benefits.
Reminder: OCEA’s open enrollment period for Health & Welfare benefits does not include any medical insurance you may be receiving from your employer. You need to contact your plan administrators regarding medical insurance coverage.
