BCEA Negotiation Update: July 3, 2023

Dear BCEA member,

We are pleased to announce that the City Council adopted our tentative agreement on Friday, June 30. Please click here for the deal points.

These negotiations were hard fought by your BCEA Negotiations Team and we want to personally thank each of them: Sara Woodward, William “Tony” Rosenstein, Louise Dionne, Stacy Garcia, Albert Franco, Kevin Martinez, and Richard Correa.

This year our goal was to provide BCEA-represented employees with long overdue wages and benefits, and we are glad to have accomplished that. However, this is just a start. BCEA looks forward to further developing our partnership with OCEA.

Your workplace leaders and OCEA staff have already begun planning more ways to enhance your wages, benefits, and working conditions during the next round of negotiations in 3 years. This truly was a team effort, and it’s BCEA’s members that make us stronger. If you have interest in getting involved in your Union, please reach out to any of your BCEA board members.
