Dear BCEA member,

For months, your BCEA negotiations team has been fighting for you at the table—and we are very close to reaching a Tentative Agreement. While we were hoping to hear back from the City on Friday with clarifications on the last few details, unfortunately we did not. 

With the current City contracts set to expire this week, and the other two groups having wrapped up their negotiations, a special City Council meeting has been scheduled for Friday, June 30, to adopt successor agreements. 

In order to provide you with adequate notice related to the ratification of our Tentative Agreement—or to discuss our next moves if an agreement isn't reached—we will have a BCEA membership meeting Noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in the Conference Room. Lunch will be served. The City is allowing an extended lunch to attend this meeting.

Ideally, we would have included the deal points in this email, but, as mentioned above, there are still outstanding items from the City. If anything changes between now and Tuesday, we will let you know.
