Court Negotiations update: Oct. 20, 2017

Dear OCEA member,

Today we concluded another bargaining session with the Court. Though tense and emotional, this turned out to be one of the more productive days of bargaining during these negotiations. Make no mistake, significant differences remain between the parties’ proposals, but both sides are committed to see if we can bridge those gaps. For that reason, the parties agreed to extend the terms and conditions of our MOUs and side letters for an additional two weeks, to Nov. 9, 2017, to enable the bargaining process to continue. One constant remains—your bargaining team remains committed to achieving an agreement fair to ALL workers.
