Court Reporter Update: Legislative Watch!

Dear OCEA member,

Last week an email went out regarding Senate Bill 848. This bill would eliminate the sunset provision for remote appearances in specific civil court proceedings. We have been conducting a series of lobby visits on SB 848 and our opposition to the bill. There is a chance the bill's author may accelerate the timeline and bring it to the floor as early as this week!

We want to make sure our Court worker's voices are heard on this bill before it hits the floor, so we've created an SB 848 Action Toolkit.

ASK: Call/Email YOUR State Senator expressing concern with the SB 848.
