COVID-19 Update from OCEA
Dear OCEA member,
You and your co-workers continue to make the community proud and grateful as you provide essential services to County residents with remarkable dedication and professionalism. It is public health professionals and other essential workers who are key to helping pull us through the historic COVID-19 pandemic.
Yet the health of thousands of workers across the County continues to be put at risk because of the insufficiency and sometimes complete lack of protective equipment, and an inability to adapt work environments to the new realities of social distancing.
OCEA Board members, Stewards and staff, along with our political and community allies, are pushing County and other municipal leaders to quickly get you the protection you need and deserve. Click here for a brief video update that outlines some of the policy objectives we are fighting for to keep you and your family safe.
You can help keep the County accountable by becoming a Workplace Safety Partner. Click here for our "Get Involved" link and we will contact you.
In Solidarity,
Charles Barfield
OCEA General Manager
