CRITICAL OCFA MEMBERSHIP MEETING Mon., Oct. 24

Dear OCEA member,

Your attendance is needed at a CRITICAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING, occurring Monday, Oct. 24 in the JPA Board Room. There will be two opportunities to attend—5 to 6 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m.

At this meeting we will discuss the next actions we will take at OCFA. These actions are focused on putting even more pressure on the JPA Board to negotiate a fair contract for you, your family and your co-workers. The JPA Board will meet on Thursday, Oct. 27, so it is of the utmost importance that as many members as possible turn out for this informational meeting beforehand.

As you know, your OCEA workplace leaders along with OC Firefighters Local 3631 spent the summer and early part of fall traveling to the home councils of the JPA’s Board members. We reminded them of the peril Board members subject their communities to when they fail to treat OCFA employees with dignity, respect, and common sense.

This fight has been difficult as we are continue to be met with the Board’s unwillingness to seriously negotiate, but that’s why it’s even more CRITICAL than before to stand together with us.
