Getting a flu shot is more important than ever!

Dear OCEA member,

It's time for your annual flu shot and OCEA is holding a clinic with social distancing precautions firmly in place.

Rite Aid is helping us with a drive-thru OCEA Flu Shot Clinic on Monday, Oct. 19 from Noon to 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The clinic will be held right here at OCEA. This event is open to Cigna and Blue Shield members only. Kaiser Permanente members: Please see the flyer below for more information.

We offered flu shots at OCEA's annual Health Fair which was canceled because of the pandemic. The drive-thru clinic is a safe way to offer you, your coworkers and your families this important protection. Check out the flyer below for more details. Remember, masks are required. Bring a signed consent form which you can access by clicking here.

Health experts say a flu shot won't protect you against COVID-19. But it's more than likely that flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will both spread this fall and winter. Healthcare systems could be overwhelmed treating both patients with flu and coronavirus so getting a flu shot now can help save lives.

Please RSVP at joanna@ocea.org and let's stay safe out there!
