Happy Labor Day 2024 from OCEA

Dear OCEA member,

I want to take a moment to recognize your tireless dedication to your community and wish you a Happy Labor Day. Whether you're a public health nurse, code enforcement officer, law enforcement official, or one of the many other roles that keep Orange County running, your commitment has few parallels.

This year, as we enjoy time with friends and family, let's also remember the power of our collective voice. We're part of a legacy of organized labor that has consistently fought for fairness and dignity in the workplace. Union support is at an all-time high nationwide because more and more Americans recognize the value of standing together for workers' rights.

As OCEA General Manager, I'm honored to stand with you in this ongoing fight for workers' rights and fair treatment. OCEA remains committed to ensuring better pay and improved workplace conditions and benefits for all our members.

2024 is a critically important election year. We have the unique opportunity as union members to amplify our voices. By engaging in the electoral process, whether through staying informed, volunteering, or voting, we can help elect candidates who support the needs of working families. Remember, our participation is vital in shaping policies that affect our work, our communities, and our future.

Today is not just a holiday—it's a day to honor our privilege and ability to take part in this great American labor movement.
