Introducing the Yorba Linda Labor Management Committee—Apply and Submit Ideas Today!
Dear OCEA member,
As you may know, your negotiations team successfully established a Labor Management Committee (LMC) with the City of Yorba Linda as part of your last contract.
An LMC is a committee of workplace leaders who bring your concerns to management. The LMC process is a collaborative partnership between OCEA members, OCEA labor relations staff, and City management to promote communication and cooperation between the two parties, promote a climate of constructive employee relations, improve work quality and safety, and address matters of mutual concern outside of individual issues and grievances.
The LMC will consist of OCEA representatives and representatives designated by the City. A meeting schedule has not yet been determined, however, meetings will be held during the City’s normal operating hours. Participating employees will not be compensated for off-duty attendance.
Currently, association stewards will participate on the committee. However, if you have an interest, please contact one of your stewards. If you have issues you want discussed at the LMC, please submit them here. One of your stewards may reach out for additional information.
Please stay tuned for more updates as we progress with the LMC.
In Solidarity,
OCEA
