John Wayne Airport COVID outbreak update
Dear OCEA member,
We have been informed there is a COVID outbreak at your work location. With COVID cases rising across the County, OCEA successfully pressed the County to authorize an Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSL) program. County workers will each receive up to 40 hours of paid sick leave for qualifying COVID-related absences. Click here to read the communication on the EPSL program we sent to you and your coworkers yesterday.
EPSL is an important financial benefit that protects you and your family should COVID strike. Keeping you safe at work is just as important. OCEA has disposable masks, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer available. Please contact Sr. Organizer Alisha Greene at agreene@ocea.org, and let her know what you need at your worksite. Include your personal contact information so we can coordinate a worksite drop.
It is important that we stand together to keep everyone safe during this unprecedented public health crisis. Please reach out to me at kwolf@ocea.org, if there are safety concerns in your area.
In Solidarity,
Kate Wolf
Labor Relations Representative
