Lakers fans! Act now to be part of a virtual fan experience Aug. 10

Dear OCEA member, 

Are you a die-hard Lakers Fan? The NBA team is offering its most committed and passionate OCEA fans a chance to be featured in a live, virtual fan experience during the upcoming Lakers vs Denver Nuggets game on Monday, August 10 at 6 p.m. PST. Participating OCEA members will watch the game and appear live on screens set-up around the court in Orlando, Florida through a desktop application.

While you are watching the game in real-time, you’ll be able to celebrate and interact virtually with other Lakers fans, enabling you to display your love and support for the Lakers to a national audience.

What do I need to apply?

• A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and microphone. Lakers ask that you do not use a phone or tablet;
• A fast, secure internet connection;
• Make sure you can hang-out on the live feed starting 45 minutes before tip-off and throughout the entire game which is about two-and-a-half hours;
• Please, only RSVP if you are excited about the opportunity and are committed to participating for the whole game.

Sign-ups are limited to 42 members only though the whole family can watch the game. This invitation is non-transferable and is for OCEA members and their families only.

What will happen if I am chosen?

• Participating OCEA members are encouraged to show their passion for the game, the Lakers team, and players but to remember that you are 'live" during the event so community standards for language and behavior apply;
• Any offensive language or behavior will shut down your feed and may disqualify you from participation in other events;
• No more than one fan can appear in a virtual seat but you can switch with another family member who is in the same household. There is no age restriction;
• Selected participants will receive an email next week with further instructions.

To RSVP, contact OCEA Program Coordinator Joanna Nachurski at joanna@ocea.org with your name and home email address. Sign-ups will be handled on first come, first serve basis. Offer expires at the end of the business day, Monday, August 3. Participation is free of charge. You don't want to miss this game—LeBron James and Anthony Davis are anticipated to play barring any unforeseen circumstances.
