Make a difference at work by joining a LMC

Dear OCEA Housing Authority member,

Your OCEA contract with the County includes rights and benefits that have been negotiated by generations of County workers. Among those rights and benefits is the establishment of Labor Management Committees across the County where OCEA members, OCEA staff, and the County can meet regularly to address issues and make workplace improvement in specific departments and agencies. We are re-starting the Labor Management Committee for Housing Authority workers, and we need your help! As a participant in the Housing Authority Labor Management Committee you would have the opportunity to represent your coworkers, speak on their behalf, and share your ideas on resolving issues and enhancing your workplace environment.

We are looking for OCEA members to join the LMC from the following areas: Leasing, Office Services, Special Programs, and Occupancy. If you want to make a difference for yourself and your coworkers, this is a great chance to get involved. Send an email with your name, classification, phone number, and program area to OCEA representatives Saliem Aregaye,saregaye@oceamember.org, or Veronica Rodarte, vrodarte@oceamember.org by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017. We look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with you to create a model workplace in housing and fight for fairness on the job.

In solidarity,
