Negotiations Update: Please Take the NBEL Negotiations Survey Today!

Dear NBEL member, 

Thank you to everyone who attended our membership meeting on Thursday, March 20, 2025. As you know, negotiations with the City of Newport Beach will begin soon. Although our current contract doesn’t expire until the end of December, the City has requested that we commence negotiations a little earlier than usual. Your NBEL negotiations team is preparing to represent your interests and fight for the wages, benefits and working conditions you deserve. As we prepare our strategy, your input is critical.

Your responses help shape our approach at the bargaining table. Remember, only NBEL members can vote on ratification of a tentative agreement, so make sure you're a member to have a voice in your union and your next contract.

The survey will be open from Thursday, March 20, 2025, through 5 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025. Please take your time with the survey and share all your thoughts and concerns. This is your best opportunity to have direct input into the negotiations process.
