No on Prop. 22 is the fight workers need to win

Every election cycle, Californians are faced with decisions about a number of voter initiatives on the ballot. Few have been as harmful or as nakedly greedy as Prop. 22. Rideshare companies including Uber and Lyft have spent more than $200 million to promote Prop. 22. If passed, the measure would create a special exemption for themselves from a California law that requires app-based companies to provide basic protections to workers.

Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart and Postmates (which was recently acquired by Uber) are literally trying to buy this election. If they are successful, what will stop other industries from reclassifying their workers? If we stand together, we can answer corporate greed with a resounding NO.
