Introducing the OC San LMC: Apply Today!

Dear OCEA member,

Did you know OC San has a new Labor Management Committee dedicated to creating workplace improvements at the Sanitation District?

An LMC is a committee of workplace leaders who bring your concerns to management. The LMC process is a collaborative partnership between OCEA members, OCEA labor relations staff and OC San management to achieve division-wide goals, propose improvements to processes, and resolve broad workplace issues.

Your OC San LMC representatives include:

Dana Andrews, Senior Construction Inspector
Mickey Whitney, Senior Construction Inspector
Bobby Martinez, Materials Management Clerk
Dennis Dillner, Source Control Inspector II
Kevin Escobar, Source Control Inspector II

We have a few LMC spots still open for worker representtives, so if your area isn’t represented, please contact OCEA Senior Organizer Alisha Greene at agreene@ocea.org. We are particularly looking for a member from Admin to join.

One of the first issues we’ll examine is which comparable agencies OC San uses for Class and Comp studies and negotiations comparators. Please let us know at least two weeks before each meeting if you have any global OC San items you would like addressed in this new platform. You can reach out to any of your LMC representatives or OCEA Labor Relations Representative Linda Meyer at lmeyer@ocea.org to submit items.

The OC San LMC is scheduled to meet monthly, beginning Nov. 30, 2023, from 9 to 10 a.m., and every fourth Thursday of the month thereafter. We’re looking forward to our first meeting with OC San management.

Stay tuned for more updates!

In Solidarity,

OCEA
