OCEA Health & Welfare Trust Open Enrollment - Now through Sept. 23!
OCEA Health & Welfare Trust Plan Participant,
Open Enrollment for 2023 OCEA Health & Welfare Trust plan elections begins today, September 1, 2022 and runs through Friday, September 23, 2022. This is your annual opportunity to make changes to your dental, vision, and disability benefits offered by the Trust. OCEA members may also make changes to their supplemental benefits, including upgraded dental plans, supplemental disability benefits, and dependent vision coverage. All changes will be effective beginning January 1, 2023, unless you are informed otherwise.
Your personal open enrollment guide is in the mail to you and if you haven’t received it yet, you should receive it within a few days. The enrollment guide is also available online on the OCEA website at ocea.org under the “My Health & Safety/Health & Welfare Benefits" tab. Forms can be downloaded, completed and e-mailed to benefits@ocea.org, dropped off at OCEA headquarters (830 N. Ross St., Santa Ana), or sent to OCEA by U.S. Mail postmarked by September 23, 2022.
In the meantime, here’s some GREAT news: There are no premium increases and no negative changes to any OCEA H&W Trust plan for 2023! Here’s some more GREAT news: the OCEA H&W Trust has been able to make improvements to the A+ PPO dental plan and both DeltaCare HMO dental plans, again with no increase in cost! If you don’t want to change your current benefits, no action is required. Your current benefits will continue for 2023.
Finally, in order to protect the health and safety of you and OCEA staff, benefits staff will not be available to meet you in person to respond to open enrollment questions.
