OCEA in the Media for Court Workers!

Dear OCEA member,

OCEA Steward and Court Clerk III LeAnne Wunsch submitted a guest editorial regarding court negotiations in the Voice of OC, a non-profit investigative news agency covering Orange County.

Click here to read LeAnne’s article. You will find she makes a great case on behalf of fellow Court workers for fair treatment in a system that exists to dispense justice. Here’s an excerpt:

“Over the past decade Court workers have seen their wages stagnate while the cost of living has continued to rise. Some of our workers have seen their hours cut at the same time that their workloads have increased. These factors do not help provide our community the access to justice it deserves.”

As Court contract negotiations continue, LeAnne’s editorial is a call to action to every Court worker who struggles to make sure there is justice for all in Orange County.

Thank you LeAnne for having the courage to bring to light the unfairness workers face at the Courts. It’s a privilege to stand together with you and fight for the wages and benefits you and your coworkers have earned and deserve.
