OCFA Negotiations Update: Sept. 21, 2022

Dear OCEA member,

Because of the solidarity between OCEA and Firefighters Local 3631, the pressure is on OCFA and the JPA Board to negotiate fairly, now more than ever before!

As you may know, earlier this summer we began a campaign to speak at JPA member cities’ Council meetings. We’re letting residents know the JPA Board is compromising their safety by failing to negotiate in good faith with the women and men at OCFA.

THIS THURSDAY, WE NEED YOU TO STAND TOGETHER WITH US NOW MORE THAN EVER BEFORE!

On Thursday, Sept. 22, OCEA and Local 3631 will return to OCFA Headquarters to speak again during the JPA meeting. This is your first chance since the Board’s summer break to let every one of them know it’s time to return to the bargaining table with a proposal that acknowledges the current economic climate and your contributions to the Fire Authority throughout the pandemic. We will meet in front of OCFA Headquarters, 1 Fire Authority Road in Irvine, at 5:15 p.m.
