OCWDEA members accept District's contract offer
Dear OCWDEA members,
On Wednesday, June 30, OCWDEA members voted to accept a new contract offered by the Orange County Water District. Highlights of the new five-year contract include the following:
Year One of the contract - 2% wage increase;
Year Two - 2% wage increase;
Year Three - 2% wage increase;
Year Four - 2.5% wage increase; and,
Year Five - 2.5% wage increase.
In addition to base-building wage increases, the District has agreed to match worker deferred compensation contributions up to $75 per pay period.
The MOU is scheduled to be considered for adoption by the District at its July 7, 2021 meeting.
I want to thank the OCWDEA Bargaining Team for their efforts and to the members who let their voices be heard through their votes. At OCEA, our goal is to bring safety, security, and stability to the workplace. The new contract's five-year term will allow you and your family to plan for the future. Have a safe and fun 4th of July weekend!
In Solidarity,
Veronica Rodarte
