OCWDEA MOU Enhancements: Wages, Medical, & Deferred Comp

Dear OCWDEA member,

Though your current MOU is in effect from 2021 through 2026, OCEA has been advocating for the Orange County Water District Board to make additional enhancements as part of a new side letter. Today we announce the Board has adopted these enhancements, which are detailed in the side letter linked HERE. Among these enhancements, you and your co-workers will receive the following increases to your compensation: 4% effective July 1, 2023; 4.5% effective July 1, 2024; and, 4.5% effective July 1, 2025.

Our last contract was adopted in 2020 when the economic situation was different. We could not have predicted how high inflation would rise. Thankfully, inflation has dropped significantly—though a huge economic impact still exists for OCWD workers. We are happy the Board has recognized this and apporved additional wage enhancements, increased medical contributions, and an increased deferred comp match.
