O&E Reorganization Update: April 21, 2025
Dear O&E member,
On April 16, OCEA met with both County and department leadership to discuss the County's proposal to reorganize OC O&E under the Office of Care Coordination (OCC) and Behavioral Health Navigation (BHN). Both meetings exemplify the ongoing collaborative efforts between OCEA and the County to address your concerns regarding this transition.
Our discussion with the County about the potential impacts of the reorganization is ongoing. We encourage you to continue asking honest, difficult questions, demanding important details, and sharing how the proposed transition will impact you. We understand that many unanswered questions remain following the meeting last week. If you have questions or concerns that you would like us to bring in our next meeting with the County, please submit them to Carolyn at cgasga@ocea.orgwith as much detail as possible.
Additionally, during the meeting with OCC, the County expressed a desire to start a transition work group. If you are interested in being part of the work group, please contact Michelle at mtruong@ocea.org with your name and the Agency they have proposed to move you to. Please let us know by Thursday, April 24.
The proposed reorganization remains on the April 22 Board of Supervisors meeting agenda for approval. We will keep you updated as we continue to meet and confer on this process.
In Solidarity,
OCEA
