PCEA Negotiations Update: April 10, 2025
Dear PCEA member,
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our recent membership meeting. For those who could not attend, here’s an update summary from the meeting.
We introduced OCEA Labor Relations Representative Donika Nunez as your lead negotiator. Staff representatives on your negotiations team also include OCEA Operations Manager Veronica Rodarte, Labor Relations Specialist Carolyn Gasga, and OCEA Organizing Specialist Michelle Truong. Your member representatives on the negotiations team include PCEA President Eddie Rodriguez, Chelsie Griffith, Kevin Koura, Felipe Perez, Sheila Rodriguez, and Carolina Torres.
We discussed the importance of completing the negotiations survey and provided a brief update on the classification study. The City informed OCEA staff that they expected the report by the end of the day April 7. OCEA followed up April 8 but to date there has been no response from the City. We will continue to request this crucial information as we prepare our initial proposal based on your survey responses.
Remember, this is your chance to let us know your priorities for negotiations so that you have a voice at the table. Click here to take the survey. REMEMBER, THE SURVEY CLOSES AT 5 P.M. FRIDAY, APRIL 11.
We will continue to send negotiations updates to your personal email address. Please also make sure your co-workers have their email addresses updated with us. The more informed PCEA members are during negotiations, the stronger we are collectively at the table!
In Solidarity,
Your PCEA Negotiations Team
