REMINDER—Membership Meeting 10/24: ACTION ALERTS!

Dear OCEA member,

As you know, your OCEA workplace leaders along with OC Firefighters Local 3631 spent the summer and early part of fall traveling to the home councils of the JPA’s Board members. We reminded them of the peril Board members subject their communities to when they fail to treat OCFA employees with dignity, respect, and common sense.

The JPA Board of Directors has demonstrated an unwillingness to seriously negotiate. That is why we are circulating a petition demanding fair treatment! 

This petition will be with your workplace leaders, and at the CRITICAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS happening at 5-6 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in the JPA Board Room. This petition will be submitted to OCFA’s Board of Directors during the Thursday, Oct. 27, Board meeting.

OCEA and OC Professional Firefighters Local 3631 will also hold a press conference and rally at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, before the start of the JPA’s meeting,. WE NEED YOUR HELP to continue telling the community about the Board’s willingness to risk public safety at the expense of its workforce.

Please make sure you join us at one of these Critical Membership Meetings and at the Board Action! Your attendance and participation are vital to our success.
