Retirees in Action Meeting - MONDAY, JAN. 13 at NOON

Happy New Year! It’s 2020 and OCEA members are starting off the year stronger than ever. Thanks to you and your co-workers, by standing together throughout your years of service, have helped secure fair wages, benefits, and dignity on the job for our 18,000+ members. But the fight is not over. We need your help to keep growing the strength of our members—those who provide needed services to the County.

Your experience can help us to better reach and advocate for our current members. Already, we have had retirees help us during critical elections, our Salute to Veterans Day event, on the hot dog wagon, and at our annual Health Fair. At the next meeting, we will be going over this year’s opportunities for retirees to get involved in OCEA.

Some of the actions we will be discussing at the meeting include:

• New member outreach
• Appreciation days (specific classifications)
• Election season precincts/phone banks
• OC Women’s March
• Hot dog wagon events

Please join us for our bi-monthly Retirees in Action meeting on Monday, January 13 from Noon – 1 p.m. at OCEA. Lunch will be served.
