Sanitation District Negotiations Update: June 8, 2022

Dear OCEA member, 

As you know, the Sanitation District recently provided us its proposed changes to several classifications, based on its recent Class and Comp study. Today, June 8, we are meeting with the District to discuss those proposed changes.

In our previous email sent May 11, we advised that management had requested these proposed changes to some classifications and were offering members the opportunity to review your classification and bring any questions or concerns you have to the District's attention.

You can use this link to review the executive summary of the changes proposed by the district. Based on the feedback we received from you, we will present questions and suggestions on two specific classifications: Admin Assistant and Storekeeper.

Stay tuned for further updates on this matter.

Negotiations will continue on Thursday, June 9, where we will provide a counter-proposal to the District. If you have any suggestions or questions, please reach out to an OCEA Negotiations Team member or OCEA staff representative.

We will provide a negotiations update during our next General Membership Meeting, happening at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 15. The meeting will be held virtually; please attend during your lunch or break.
