YLEA Bargaining Update Sept. 30, 2021

Dear YLEA Member, 

Your bargaining team met with the City’s representative yesterday to receive the City’s most recent proposal. While we are pleased the City made some positive movement in response to our demands, we believe there is still room for further movement. Our goal is to hold a ratification vote before November 1st, giving the City two more council meetings (opportunities) to improve their proposal.

As you know, the current MOU expires today, September 30, 2021. Be assured that we have agreement from the City that the terms and conditions of the current MOU will continue while we continue to bargain in good faith.
