Special Election Two Weeks Away!

February 23, 2021

An election critical to workplace dignity and fairness in Orange County is underway. Voting-by-mail began on February 8, 2021, and in-person vote centers will begin operating on February 27, 2021. The last day to vote in-person March 9, 2021. It's a special election for Board of Supervisors District 2. The district includes the cities of Costa Mesa, Cypress, Huntington Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Stanton, portions of Buena Park, Fountain Valley, and the unincorporated area of Rossmoor.

March 9 Election: A choice between the best and the worst

OCEA members have a lot riding on the upcoming special election for Board of Supervisors District 2. The vacancy on the Board created by Michelle Steel’s election to Congress has led to an intolerable risk to OCEA working families: The return of anti-worker politician John Moorlach to the Board.
