Petition is bait-and-switch that won’t repeal gas tax
June 9, 2017
You can hear the lie all over AM radio: “Sign this petition and repeal the gas tax,” or “Stop the car tax.” The same message is being peddled by paid signature gatherers at drug stores, markets and public facilities.
Memorial Day binds Americans together
May 26, 2017
Our national holidays can provide every American an opportunity to at least for a day put aside our differences and remember those things that bind us together as a nation. Memorial Day does that.

Putting partisanship aside for the good of Orange County
April 28, 2017
Orange County is a donor county. This means that collectively we send far more in revenue to the state than we receive back. Not surprisingly, this impacts almost every aspect of our lives. It would be difficult to identify a public service that wouldn’t be in a better position to serve the public if we just received back approximately the amount of revenue we send to Sacramento.

Impacting thousands of lives—one hot dog at a time
April 14, 2017

But you’d be surprised at how the simple act of cooking a free lunch can impact lives — and has, in fact, impacted thousands of lives. You also might be surprised to hear about how all of those people who have been touched by the hot dog wagon responded when it was stolen last week, along with a freezer full of 2,000 frozen all-beef dogs.
