Dear BCEA member,
Last Thursday, your BCEA Board and OCEA representatives met with the City to receive the City’s initial counterproposal. Their proposal did not include the wage increases, medical benefits, or other improvements that BCEA members deserve. While disappointing, this was only the City’s first proposal, and we remain committed to advocating on your behalf and pushing for a fair agreement.
The team will be back at the bargaining table next Wednesday, April 29th, to continue fighting for the improvements that matter most to BCEA members.
Please keep an eye on your inbox for important updates and potential calls to action. We need all BCEA members ready to stand together and mobilize if we do not see meaningful movement in the City’s proposals in the coming weeks.
