Open Enrollment for 2027 OCEA Supplemental Benefits starts today, Sept. 1, 2026 through Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. The 2027 Health & Welfare Enrollment Guide has been mailed to your home and you should receive your copy soon. You can also find the Enrollment Guide on the OCEA website, here. All Enrollment Forms will be available on Docusign.

For County, Court, Law Library, and Fire Authority employees, the OCEA Health & Welfare Trust administers dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits at no cost to full and part-time employees in regular or limited-term positions. Additionally, OCEA offers members the opportunity to purchase an upgraded dental plan, disability, life insurance coverage, and vision coverage for eligible dependents. Members may also enroll in the Trust’s Accident Insurance, Critical Illness, and/or the Hospital Indemnity Insurance plans.
AS A REMINDER, OPEN ENROLLMENT IS A GREAT TIME TO REVIEW BENEFIT CHOICES for you and your family and to evaluate which plan(s) best serve your needs. During open enrollment you may:
- Change dental plans (for example, change from a Delta Dental PPO plan to a DeltaCare USA DHMO plan)
- Add or drop dependents from the HEALTH & WELFARE dental plans
During open enrollment, OCEA members may enroll or make changes (including adding or dropping dependents) to the following insurance plans:
- Either the Upgraded PPO Plan A+ OR the Upgraded DeltaCare USA CAM49 DHMO plan
- Vision Plan (VSP)
- Accident Insurance
- Critical Illness
- Hospital Indemnity
- Supplemental Disability Plan – Employee Only (in most cases without evidence of insurability)
REMINDER: IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ANY ENROLLMENT FORMS IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR EXISTING PLANS AND DO NOT WISH TO MAKE ANY CHANGES.
The 2026 OCEA Health Fair will also return from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10!
